In just their first season competing in the Sierra Foothill League, Jesuit High School Sacramento's varsity track and field team left no doubt about their place among the region's elite. On May 3, 2025, at Granite Bay High School, the Marauders captured the league championship title in dominant fashion, scoring an impressive 143 points—53 points ahead of the next closest team.

This historic performance saw Jesuit athletes qualifying for Sections in 39 entries across 16 of the 17 events—a testament to the team's incredible depth, talent, and commitment. The team also celebrated six All-League honorees who stood out among a highly competitive field.

All-League Selections:

1. High Jump: Naryan Banerjee '27 – 6'9" | 2nd All-Time in Jesuit History

2. Shot Put: Christopher Palchak '25

3. 800m: Lucas Alberts '25

4. 400m: Kwanna Smith '26

5. 200m: Kwanna Smith '26

6. 4x400 Relay: Max Gutterman '26, Jackson Henderson '26, Robert Weinbaum '25, Kwanna Smith '26

Among the standout performances was that of sophomore Naryan Banerjee, whose high jump of 6 feet 9 inches set a new personal record. His leap ranks him:

1. 2nd all-time in Jesuit school history

2. 5th overall in California across all grades

3. 2nd among all California sophomores

4. Top 10 nationally among Class of 2027 athletes

This powerful showing is the result of months of preparation and relentless effort from student-athletes and coaches alike. Jesuit's debut season in the Sierra Foothill League is already one for the record books—and with the postseason just beginning, the Marauders are far from finished.
