On May 3, 2025, during the Varsity Sierra Foothill League Championships, Naryan Banerjee '27 achieved a remarkable milestone by clearing a personal best of 6 feet 9 inches in the high jump. This outstanding performance places him second on Jesuit's all-time high jump list, trailing only Nick Ridge's 7'1" mark set in 2010.
Banerjee's leap not only solidifies his position in school history but also ranks him fifth overall in California across all grade levels, second among sophomores statewide, and within the top ten sophomore high jumpers nationally.
Beyond his track and field accomplishments, Banerjee is a dedicated multi-sport athlete. In May 2024, he showcased his versatility by competing in both the high jump and volleyball on the same day, advancing to the Masters track meet and the volleyball section semi-finals.
As Banerjee continues to excel in athletics, his dedication and talent promise a bright future ahead.
