Jesuit Golf Shines at Elite Tournaments, Luke Dariotis Claims Individual Title

Last weekend, the Jesuit Varsity Golf Team competed in two prestigious tournaments hosted by De La Salle High School, facing some of the best high school golf programs in California and beyond.

The first event, the Elite 13, took place on Saturday, March 8th, at the challenging Blackhorse Golf Course in Monterey, CA. Handpicked as one of the top 13 teams in the state, Jesuit battled tough competition and tricky course conditions, finishing 9th with a team total of 389. Senior Co-Captain Luke Dariotis led the way with an impressive 1-under-par 71, placing him in a tie for 5th individually.

On Monday, March 10th, the team competed in the Travis Wood Memorial Invitational at Diablo Country Club in Danville, CA. With a field of 23 elite programs, including a few from Texas, Jesuit stepped up with a much-improved performance. The Marauders posted a team total of 376, securing 5th place overall. Sophomore Kees Hoogendyk delivered a solid even-par 72, while Dariotis dominated the course with an incredible 7-under-par 65, finishing just one stroke shy of the course record. His stellar round earned him the individual title, beating out 115 top-tier players.

With a strong showing against elite competition, Jesuit Golf continues to solidify its reputation as one of the premier programs in the state.
